What is Coaching?

Since the early 1990s, professional coaching has grown dramatically internationally and here in the United States. Coaching is a future-oriented, action-based learning model that draws its history from contemporary management theory, humanistic psychological theory, and mentoring and consulting paradigms.

Professional coaches are credentialed through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) which approves coach training schools and sets credentialing standards for thousands of professional coaches around the world. There are many different coaching specialties including executive, business, life, career and niche coaching.

People hire a coach when they are ready to make a significant change in their lives and they want to connect with someone who believes in them, their strengths and their potential.
